People, roles and guests
Roles in the organization
Everyone in an organization has one role in it. An Owner may do everything, including managing the organization's owners and its plan, and works on every brand. An Admin works on every brand and manages the people and the settings of the organization. A Member sees only the brands they are given a role on.
This page names places in the sidebar and in a brand's tabs. If your layout or the simple mode hides one, All sections, the last item of the sidebar's first group, and Ctrl+K still reach it; Getting started explains the layout.
Roles on a brand
A member's role on a brand decides what they may do there. A Manager changes the brand, its people and its channels, and writes and approves posts. An Editor writes and schedules posts, which an approver then approves. An Approver approves, rejects or returns posts before they are published; this role comes with the Team and Business plans. A Viewer sees the brand, its calendar and its posts, and changes nothing. Without a role on a brand, a member does not see it at all.
Invite a person
Open People and press Invite. Enter the person's E-mail, choose the Role in the organization and, for a member, the Brand and the Role on the brand, then press Send the invitation. The person gets an e-mail with a link valid for 14 days and joins after signing in with that address, ticking I am 18 or older and pressing Accept the invitation. Owners and admins invite to the organization; a brand's manager invites to their brand. Pending invitations count towards the plan's people, and Revoke cancels one.
Change a role or remove someone
In a person's actions on People, owners and admins use Change the role and Remove from the organization, which takes away the access to the organization and all its brands at once. Brand access sets the member's role on each brand, or No access.
Guest approvers
On plans with guest approvers, from Solo up, a client can approve posts without an account. In Approvals, select the posts of one brand that wait for review and press Send to a guest, enter the Guest's name and Guest's e-mail and press Send the link. The guest gets an e-mail with a link valid for 14 days, sees the posts and presses Approve, Ask for changes or Reject for each one; the decision reaches the brand's people with the guest's name. A guest is not a member of the organization and takes no seat. A post changed after it was sent cannot be decided through the link. X posts cannot be selected together; send one X post to a guest from its own sheet, where it is decided alone. Under the brand's open links, Withdraw ends a link.
