Your data and switching to another provider
This page gives the information that Regulation (EU) 2023/2854 (the Data Act) requires from a provider of a data processing service: how you get all your data, how you switch to another provider or to your own systems, what it costs, where the infrastructure is and how we protect your data against unlawful access by foreign governments. Clause 14 of our terms is the binding part of the contract.
1. Your data is yours
Everything your organization puts into the service or the service creates for it belongs to your organization: brands, channels, posts and their versions, media files, campaigns, series, AI jobs and their outputs, approvals, comments, results and the rest. You may take all of it out at any time.
2. The export
An owner or administrator of an organization requests the export on the organization's Data page, /app/<organization>/data, on every plan, including Free, at any time.
- The export is a ZIP file of JSON files, one for each kind of data the organization owns, with the media files and a README that describes them.
- It contains everything the organization owns. Only secrets are left out: the access tokens of connected social media accounts and the hashes of API credentials, which would be of no use elsewhere and must stay secret.
- When a new kind of data is added to the service, it is included in the export automatically.
- The export is built in the background; you get it for download, and it stays available for 30 days.
- The export has an open interface for your own systems and for the provider you switch to, on every plan and free of charge: an owner or administrator creates an export client on the organization's API page,
/app/<organization>/api. The client exchanges its ID and secret for a one-hour token at POST /api/v1/oauth/token, then requests the export (POST /api/v1/organizations/<organization>/exports), lists it (GET /api/v1/organizations/<organization>/exports) and downloads it (GET /api/v1/organizations/<organization>/exports/<export>/file); it reaches nothing else.
The full list of exportable data, with the structure and format of each kind, and the export interface are described in the public register of data structures and formats at /legal/data-formats. It is generated from the same data model as the export, so it is always complete.
3. Switching procedure
You may switch to another provider, or to your own systems, at any time. You need no notice period and no consent from us.
- Export your data (above), on the Data page or through an export client. You may do so as often as you wish, before and during the switch.
- Import the JSON files and the media files into the new service. The formats are described in the register at /legal/data-formats. If you need help, write to us at support@7ier.com or through the contact form at /contact, and we help without undue delay.
- Cancel your paid plan on the billing page or, without signing in, on the page /cancel (clause 5 of the terms). The organization then continues on the Free plan with all its data, so you lose nothing while you finish the switch.
- If you want your data erased with us, an owner deletes the organization on its Data page,
/app/<organization>/data (possible while no paid plan runs). The deletion takes effect 30 days after the request; during those 30 days the export still works and the request can be cancelled. Then all of the organization's data and files are erased, except the records the law requires us to keep, listed in the retention schedule of our privacy notice at /legal/privacy.
You therefore always have at least 30 days to retrieve your data before anything is erased. If you prefer to give us a switching notice, write to us as in step 2. The notice period is at most two months, and during it and a transition period of up to 30 days after it the service and the export keep running for you. Clause 14.3 of the terms makes these periods binding, with our duties during a switch, and the contract ends once a switch you gave notice of is completed.
4. Charges
The export, the switching and the deletion are free of charge, on every plan. We charge no switching fees, no data extraction or egress fees and no early termination penalties. Ending a paid plan follows clause 5 of the terms: a monthly plan runs to the end of its period; a yearly plan paid on the payment provider's page ends at once with its unused part refunded; a yearly plan paid through Managed Payments runs to the end of its period.
5. Where the infrastructure is
- The service, its database and its files run on Microsoft Azure, in the West Europe region (the Netherlands), operated by Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited. The database backups are kept geo-redundantly within the European Union.
- The AI that proposes drafts is provided by Anthropic Ireland, Limited, which uses Anthropic PBC in the United States as its sub-processor.
- Our company, Syonic solutions s.r.o., is established in the Czech Republic.
6. Protection against unlawful access by foreign governments
Article 32 of the Data Act requires us to prevent international and third-country governmental access to, and transfer of, non-personal data held in the EU where it would conflict with EU or Czech law. Our measures:
- Technical: the data is stored in the EU; it is encrypted in transit and at rest; the access tokens of connected accounts are additionally encrypted by the application; the keys and secrets are kept in a key vault; each organization's data is isolated at the database layer.
- Organisational: only the people who operate the service have access to it, and only as far as their work requires. Our AI provider receives only what is needed for a task, never the data Meta's platforms provide.
- Legal and contractual: our providers process the data only on our instructions under their data processing terms. We disclose an organization's data to an authority of a country outside the EU only when the request is based on an international agreement, such as a mutual legal assistance treaty, or when the conditions of Article 32(2) of the Data Act are met. Before we comply with such a request we inform the organization, unless the request is for law enforcement and informing it would endanger that purpose, and we disclose only the minimum the request allows.
